I’m really looking forward to the National Craft & Design Fair this week. I will be showing my unique printed silk scarves, as well as my new silk tunics and some of my printed leather. Susannagh Grogan Designs will be at Stand 39. Hope to see you there!
I have so enjoyed working on my new silk tunics, t-shirt and cover-ups! Finally we think the length is perfect and the fabric is perfect too. It took a while to get the simple shapes just right; with prints like mine colourful & busy, the shape needed to be very streamline! Early reaction has been fabulous and with a lovely mention in the Irish Times we had some great sales and had to get re making! 🙂
We were delighted that Constance Harris, FashEd of The Sunday Independent LIFE magazine, covered our recent photoshoot in a fabulous 6 page spread! We had a great day on the shoot and Aisling O’Loughlin/Xpose from TV3 came out to film us. It was a fun day! 🙂

I love Anthropologie & of course, I love scarves!
One of my favourite things is working with my partners to bring something uniquely theirs to their customers. Anthropologies USA and I have been working together since 2013 to produce fabulous scarves for their fabulous customers. My latest loop Primevera Patchwork scarf in modal is now available on Anthropologie USA website and stores.
Thursday is St Patrick’s Day and with it comes the traditional “wearing of the green”. The last five years have seen an explosion of talent in Irish design, highlighted in 2015 by the team behind the Year of Irish Design.
What does it mean to be an Irish designer now?
Susannagh Grogan has worked and designed around the world. She finds “Irish style eclectic and constantly evolving”. Her accessories have international influences, and her “strong ties to countryside roots have fused with influences from travels abroad”. Grogan thinks “Irishness is pride in our heritage, a fantastic sense of humour, an openness and a resilience”.
