I was really honoured to win Showcase Best Product Award 2013 in the Fashion category with my Green Grass of Home Silk Scarf.
On Sunday, 20th January Showcase 2013, Ireland’s Creative Expo officially opened at the RDS with 435 of Ireland’s leading designers, manufacturers and craftspeople, the highest number of exhibitors in four years. The event was officially launched by Minister for Enterprise, Jobs and Innovation Richard Bruton T.D. who presented some of the key Showcase 2013 Awards along with Karen Hennessy, Chief Executive of the Crafts Council of Ireland.
This year the Selected at Showcase Best Product Awards were across four categories; Fashion, Jewellery, Home and Giftware. In each category the title of Best Product was awarded, with two other exhibitors also receiving Highly Commended status.
